Lignano Pineta is famous thanks to its spiral outline in the middle of the parkland designed
by the architect Marcello D'Olivo; it is still mentioned as an example in architecture
handbooks. Pineta is full of hotels, villas and apartments. An important commercial street
with shops, bars, restaurants and much more is the so-called "train" dividing the "snail"
in two along the North-South axis.
The "Park Hemingway" and the "Park of the Sea" as well as the pine wood between the
first houses and hotels and the sea are important attractions of this place.
The nine beach offices along the shore are equipped with beach umbrellas, sun loungers,
deckchairs, "director" chairs and beach huts; they can let out a wide range of beach
material at different prices. In Pineta tourists can use toilets and showers with cold,
lukewarm and warm water which are cleaned daily, passageways for the disabled and for
prams linking the beach offices to the waterline.
There is also a qualified rescue service with lifeguards equipped with rescue boats and
lifeguard towers. Entertainment activities for children and grown-ups are accessible free
of charge on the beach. The beach is cleaned daily by lifeguards with beach cleaning
machines. In the bathing establishments you can also find the data of the water analysis
according to the FEE "Blue Flag"; waste is disposed of according to the principle
of the separate collection of waste.
On the beach of Pineta there are a lot of swimming and windsurf schools as well as places
renting out canoes and pedal boats. A landing linked to the beach is the ideal destination
of a walk "on water" leading to the bar "La Pagoda" as well as starting point for games
such as: "banana", "ciambella" and parafly. In Pineta there is also a first aid point on the
beach linked to the regional emergency service 118. |
