about us The Consortium "Spiaggia Viva – Cuore di Lignano" (Living Beach – Heart of Lignano) was founded in 1999 and has been in operation since 2001, it comprises thirteen beach concessionaires and 35 bathing establishments in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Pineta and Riviera. In these years the consortium has always been working to improve the quality and widen the range of offers for tourists: from the renovation of beach material (beach umbrellas, sun loungers, deckchairs, beach huts etc.) to the growing offer of entertainment programmes for adults and children, from health care on the shore to the separate collection of waste, from environmental awareness activities to initiatives in aid of the disabled. The Consortium is one of the charter-members of the area society of Lignano – Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni SpA – and takes actively part in the activities and initiatives of this new and important society. The essential tourism resources of a seaside resort are the sea and the beach, this is why it is easy to understand how important the consortium and the single enterprises are if we consider Lignano as an "overall business".
